What does Play mean in a care home?

Animated poems exploring the ways in which we can bring ‘play’ into dementia care homes.

Using sensory poetry, collage, and guided conversations, we explored how play and playfulness are experienced by people living and working in dementia care—what supports it, and what gets in the way.
These videos highlight the vital role of play and playfulness in the daily life of care homes, both as a form of connection and a source of wellbeing.
